    Field of application

    • For use on floors indoors and outdoors
    • Mineral substrates
    • Levelling layer under coatings
    • Levelling layer under floor coverings

    Properties

    • Fast curing
    • Low-stress and crack-free setting
    • Coatable
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

Clean, dust-free and capable of supporting a load.

Prepare the substrate by suitable means, e.g. steel ball jetting or diamond grinding, so that it meets the requirements specified above.

The tensile strength of the surface of the substrate must be at least 1.5 N/mm² on average (smallest individual value of at least 1.0 N/mm²), and the compressive strength must be at least 25 N/mm².

Suitable Remmers primers must be used. Where elevated mechanic stresses are anticipated, we recommend applying an Epoxy primer to the surface then broadcasting Quartz 07/12 over it.

      • Preparations

Expansion joints, movement joints and edge joints must be retained. Apply strips of insulation material to rising components to prevent the compound from flowing into the connection joints.

Prime using epoxy resin and blind with Quartz 07/12.

    • Application
      • Application temperature: min. 5 °C max. 25 °C
      • Mortar cover / Self-levelling coating / Apply standing
      • After mixing, pour out the material and spread quickly with a scraper/trowel, then roll with a spiked roller.
        Avoid streaks and seams.

The quality of the surface can be improved by working it over with a spiked roller.

    • Application instructions
      • Once it has hardened, mortar must not be made workable again by adding either water or more wet mortar.

Protect wet mortar surfaces against frost, rain and drying out too quickly for at least 4 days.

        Apply only in single layers.

Natural aggregates cause slight differences in water demand.

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Mortar cover / Self-levelling coating / Apply standing
      • Mixing apparatus, transport/pouring bucket, scraper, spiked roller

      • Clean tools with water while the material is still fresh.

Any material that has already begun to dry can only be removed mechanically.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • Store frost-free and cool / protect for moisture / close containers
      • Shelf-life 9 months
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for 9 months.

    • Usage
      • 1.7 kg / mm thick layer / m²
      • Approx. 1.7 kg/m²/mm layer thickness (min. layer thickness 2 mm)

      • Apply to a large enough trial area to determine the precise amount required.

    • General information
      • The mixing water must be of drinking water quality.

Always set up a trial area/trial areas first.

Low chromate content in accordance with Directive 2003/53/EC.

The characteristic data of the product were calculated under laboratory conditions at 20°C and 65% relative humidity.

May contain traces of pyrite (iron sulphide).

Only use ZM HF [basic] as a primer.

    • Disposal instructions
      • Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.

    • Safety / regulations
