The new Edeka store in Koblenz is a functional building with a large hall. Its spatial atmosphere is characterised by colourful design elements of the floor areas in pop art style. The special shop concept was the goal.

Short description
In order to facilitate orientation around the store, a coloured customer guidance system was to be installed on a floor area of over 1,800 m² to the respective product displays. With the colour-contrasting "lane", individual departments in the supermarket were highlighted to help guide the customer through the market. This also allowed the shopping trolleys to glide much more quietly than they would over tiled floor.
