    Field of application

    • For use outdoors
    • for elements with limited dimensional stability
    • for not dimensionally stable elements
    • For professional users only
    • For use on exterior wood
    • Softwoods
    • Wood building elements with limited dimensional stability: e.g. matchboarding, facade elements
    • Wood building elements with no dimensional stability: e.g. fences, framework, carports, planking

    Properties

    • Water-based
    • Natural grey tones for exterior wood
    • Especially natural appearance on textured wood
    • Maintenance-free: uniform transition from pre-greying to natural greying due to weathering
    • Evens out colour differences in areas with different levels of exposure to weathering
    • Water-based: does not give off any unpleasant odours and tools can be cleaned with water
    • Outstanding (wet) adhesion
    • Good block resistance
    • Breathable
    • Film preserver protects against microbial damage
    • Preparation
      • Substrate requirements

The substrate must be clean, dry, free of dust, grease and loose substances, and prepared in the correct manner.

Wood building elements with limited or no dimensional stability: wood moisture content max. 18%

      • Preparations

If necessary, impregnate non-resistant woods with a wood preservative* (*Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use).

        Remove resin galls.

    • Application
      • Application temperature: min. 10 °C max. 30 °C
      • Stir before use
      • Stir well, including during application or after a break in work.

        Apply by brushing or spraying.

Industrial series production (VACUMAT®, board coating machine)

Seal opened containers well and use contents as soon as possible.

    • Application instructions
      • Drying time: can be worked over after 12 h
      • Check colour, adhesion and compatibility with the substrate by setting up a trial area.

Before coating technically modified woods and wood-based materials, apply the coating to a trial surface and conduct a suitability test on the desired area of use.

Wood types with a high resin content can cause damage to the coating.

      • Drying

Coated pieces can be stacked after 12 hours of drying.
(Practice values at 20 °C and 65% relative humidity)

If forced drying is used, coated pieces can be stacked after approx. 20 minutes depending on the system used / the workpiece must be cooled to < 25 °C prior to packing.

Low temperatures, poor ventilation and high humidity delay drying.

      • Thinning

        Ready to use

    • Working tools / cleaning
      • Flat brush, airless/airmix spraying equipment, VACUMAT® vacuum equipment, board coating machine

Clean tools with water or Aqua RK-898 Cleaning Concentrate immediately after use.

Ensure that any residue from cleaning is disposed of correctly.

    • Storage / shelf life
      • Store frost-free and cool / protect for moisture / close containers
      • Shelf-life 12 months
      • If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

    • Usage
      • Approx. 80 ml - 120 ml / m² per layer applied
      • 80 - 120 ml/m² in one coat

    • General information
      • Because the product is primarily designed for industrial series production (VACUMAT®), colour variations may occur when applying the material manually. A trial area should be set up to test the colour on the substrate using your chosen application method. For further information, please contact the Remmers Technical Service.
