Substrate requirements
The substrate must be dry, clean, load-bearing and free of dust.
Free of aggressive salts.

Prime load-bearing, mineral substrates with Funcosil BI.

Application

Application requirements
Temperature of the material, air and substrate: from min. +5 °C to max. +30 °C

Stir well.
Coat the surface using a suitable tool.
Apply the material in 2 or 3 coats, depending on the condition of the substrate.
Wait at least 24 hours before applying subsequent layers.
Alternatively, embed a textile material (Kobau Arkoflex® Gewirke Typ 150) into the first layer for surface reinforcement.
Smooth surface
Apply material using a lamb's wool roller.
Use a brush to work the material into the gaps, making sure that the material does not accumulate in any spots.Textured surface
Apply the material evenly using a lamb's wool roller. Then, use an appropriate textured roller to achieve the desired texture.

Working tools / cleaning

Roller, brush, surface brush and stainless steel trowel

Clean tools, equipment and any splashed material immediately with water while still fresh.

Storage / shelf life

If stored unopened in its original container in a cool, dry place and protected against frost, the product will keep for at least 12 months.

Usage

Approx. 0.30 - 1.00 l/m² depending on the unevenness of the substrate.

Apply to a large enough trial area to determine the precise amount required.

Current regulations and legal requirements must be taken into account and deviations from these must be agreed separately.
The relevant test certificates must be observed when planning and carrying out work.
Primarily lime-based substrates are not suitable for coating.

Disposal instructions

Larger quantities of leftover product should be disposed of in the original containers in accordance with the applicable regulations. Completely empty, clean containers should be recycled. Do not dispose of together with household waste. Do not allow to enter the sewage system. Do not empty into drains.
